Minor praxis and poetics of "whatever" identity
Boris Groys claims that there is no difference between the Western and Eastern European art, but the fact that the latter comes from Eastern Europe. Which immediately creates a radical differentiation because it’s always somehow political, somehow related to the constitution of the context and its self-representation. In these optics the concept of Eastern European art is always related to its “whatever” identity. The differences between national cultures, histories and self-understandings are so huge that Eastern European identity could mean nothing, but at the same time one can claim whatever s/he likes to identify with. I'm interested to follow how the non-disciplinary profession of dramaturge redefines it's self-representation when it relates to the context of Eastern Europe.
