The Reform of Adoption Law - a Chance for Better and More Adoptions in the Light of Children's
The new Family Law provisions on adoption attempt to achieve a balance between children's rights and quality adoptions. Much attention has been paid to the child's welfare in and after the process of adoption. Children's rights that closely relate to the adoption rules have been taken seriously and by expressly stating that the child's interests must be the centre of every adoption. These rights are clear, beginning with the child's right to know his origin and right to the protection of his privacy. Although practice is the key to every legal provision, the new Fmaily Law provides a real answer to the present situation of children without adequate or any parental care.
