Sažetak
In this work, following the ICP Forests methodology the flux of ions from atmosphere and the relationship between them in lowland forest of Quercus Robur L. and Carpinus Betulus in ICP plot Jastrebarski lugovi on yearly basis were investigeted. The validation of analytical results have included: checks of ion balance, comparation between measured and calculated conductivity, ratio between Na+ and Cl-, comparation between conductivity and the sum of cations and between conductivity and the sum of anions. The following criteria have been investigated:comparison between relationships among ions, difference among different samples typology, flux of ions in plot, seasonal variations of acidifying compounds, comparation between actual and critical loads and comparation with previous results obtained in Europe in order to assess the condition of lowland forest of Croatia. The results showed that the chemistry of bulk deposition was strongly influenced by natural sources, such as the marine component (Na, Cl, Mg, part of sulphate) and soil dust (Ca, alkalinity, Mg, K, S) of local origine. The ionic concentrations were higher in throughfall than the respectative bulk values due to the interaction of rain water with vegetation. The increase involved the main ions, with the exception of calcium and magnesium. The actual loads of acidifying and nitrogen compounds showed much lower values than the critical load for both type of samples like all Europe.
