Education - a way to (re)defining of men and women’s roles

In this study, the subject of the analysis is men and women's roles, where man is taken as measure and referent frame. It is a fact that, even today, because of their gender, women all over the world are limited in their human rights, even in one of the most important and basic rights - the right of living. In spite of significant improvements on field of human rights of women in last 30 years, strengthening of ultraconservative thought and fundamentalism in many societies led to great regress in realization of human rights of women. Determination of man and woman's role and position was significantly affected by socially-cultural context. Education is also a significant factor, in both formal and informal ways, because, in modern world, it represents the most important channel of social promotion of an individual. The authors consider that education, although present also as a carrier of gender stereotypes, can influence to environment, creating the social conditions where men and women will be free humans, responsible for their destiny and identity, as well as for creating and adopting of welfare as the final goal of human aspiration (and existence).
