APPLICATION OF MONTE CARLO SIMULATIONS IN ESTIMATION OF UNCETRAINTY IN ROUGHNESS MEASUREMENTS
The Monte Carlo simulation (MCS method) is a statistic simulation based on use of random numbers and probability statistics. MSC method generates random numbers from the probability density function for every input quantity and forms the corresponding value of the output quantity, combining various distributions by which input quantities are defined. In this Paper Monte Carlo simulation are used in the field of roughness measurements. Today in metrology requests that are put on analysis of measurement data’s are highly rigid. For that reason we used a MCS as a powerful tool that creates samples from random variables distributions of input quantities in the procedure of uncertainty budget calculation for calibration of roughness parameter Ra.
