Sensitivity Studies of Fuel Pin Temperature for PWR Fuel Assemblies Containing Burnable Absorbers
In this study we assessed the fuel pin temperature dependence on burnup for PWR fuel assemblies containing two different types of burnable absorbers: integral fuel burnable absorber (IFBA) and gadolinium. For that purpose we developed a calculational model based on FA2D code (neutronic analysis) and FRAPCON-3 code (thermal hydraulic fuel rod analysis).
