Relationship among healthy separation and student’s social and achievement goals during the first year of study
The aim of this investigation was to check the relationship among healthy separation and student's social and achievement goals during the first year of study. In the sample 223 students two examinations have took a place. The first one was during the third week after enrolment to university, while the other one took place one month before the end of academic year. Results have shown that students who have a higher healthy separation also have a higher social and mastery goals, at the beginning as well as at the end of academic year. There were no significant correlations among healthy separation and performance goals in the beginning of study, but female students who have a higher healthy separation have lower performance goals at the end of the academic year. Female students in comparison with male students have higher results for healthy separation and social and mastery goals in both measurements.
