Transformation of mercury contained in natural gas into mercuric sulphide
The implementation of the process of removing mercury from natural gas by activated carbon impregnated with sulfur, in practical terms the of application is controlled, but also limited, by number of parameters (composition and characteristics of the current process, the characteristics of adsorbents, process plants and the performance chart). The paper analyzes the dependence of the effectiveness of the implementation process on the degree of reaction of mercury and impregnated sulfur, and the possibility of conversion gaseous mercury in the solid, insoluble compound, mercuric sulfide.
