Geochemical Characterisation of Source Rocks in NC-157 Block (Zalan Platform), Sirt Basin

The Sirt basin belongs to petroleum basins large even in the world scale. Sediment samples from wells located in Zalan platform of that basin were geochemically analysed. The organic facies consist of hydrogen-rich kerogen. Minor variations in generative ability of source rock complex and special characteristics of generated hydrocarbons can be attributed to differences in environmental and depositional conditions.
