Sažetak
In times of recession people tend to spend their money more carefully than usual. The same applies when it comes to choosing software which they will use. In this article we willtake into consideration posible benefits of switching to open source software as opposed to commonly used commercial, proprietary software in everyday work at in educational institution.We will try to unveil some of the aspects, pros and cons, of such an approach as well as possible financial savings.But is it all abou the money? Open sources as philosophy of shering which makes us as better people, is sometimes worth teaching troughout all of our educational levels.At the end of the article we propose the very best of the open source software regardless the operating system one way use.
