Ethic decision taking in the economy of a future society
The difference between professional decision taking and ethic decision taking lies in economy and social activities. Professional decision taking underlines success and business profitability diverting in that direction decision taking as well. Operators or rather groups of operators in the function division in a company or institution must strictly deliver tasks and apply decisions made by strategic and operational management. Ethic decisions in economy and society derive from three possible concepts: concept of benefit, concept of human rights and concept of righteousness. For economy and society of the present time and especially in the future, of utmost importance is that ethic decision taking dedicates more attention to individual judgments and less to professional judgments (undertaking and business judgments). It is important though, to distinguish if the lowest ethic level or the appropriate ethic level has been achieved, as they determine the type of choice that will lead to taking decisions. Finally, it is important to foresee what consequences every ethic decision taking will have for economy and social activities.
professional decision taking; ethic decision taking; concept of decision taking; ethic levels.
