The collection of essays "Cambridge Companion to Kant and Modern Philosophy" is at the beggining placed in a relation to the one of same type published fourteen years earlier ("Cambridge Companion to Kant"). This volume is quantitatively more extensive, but three qualitative novelties are especially prominent. First, the authors have provided a historical context, and historical impact of the particular topic in Kant. Second, there are many new contributors, who are new rising Kant scholars. Third, there are few less adressed topics in Kant scholarship included in this collection. All three moments are highlighted in the presentation of essays. After a short review of editor's "Introduction" eighteen authors' contributions are presented. This is followed by a review of the list of bibliography. Finally, it is suggested that this collection of essays is a useful introduction for those who meets with Kant's oeuvre for the first time, but it is equally indispensable material for all those who enter the world of the Kant scholarship, or have already become the part of it.
