The derivation of a nonlinear filtration law including the inertia effects via homogenization

We rigorously derive the nonlinear filtration law via homogenization, starting from the Navier-Stokes system in periodic porous medium. The convergence proof is given as well as the error estimate. The obtained result is compared with some empiric laws known in the literature.
