Organic Geochemistry in the Rationalization of Oil and Gas Exploration and Production
The organic facies of oil producing sediments consists of hydrogen-rich kerogen which, according to chemical classification corresponds to type II kerogen. The positive source rock correlation studies confirm the identified source rocks as sources of hydrocarbon accumulations in the studied area.
