Macrozoobenthos of the Butoniga Reservoir

Investigations on the macrozoobenthos of the reservoir was carried out between spring 1989 and late autumn 1991 and was part of a broader and more complex ecological research on the lake and its' supply streams. A comparison of the number of species at the two permanent stations shows that their number increase every year In 1989, thirteen species were found, in 1990 seventeen, and in 1991, nineteen species of macroinvertebrates. During the three year period, both qualtatively and quantitatively, a domination of Oligochaeta and Chhironomidae larvae was found.
