Economic and social aspects of wine-growing on different cultivation forms in Istria
In the paper are shown research results of average production expenses of cultivation in Istria (Croatia) and other economic and social aspects applied on two different cultivation forms: Istrian Guyot and Cordone on Istrian Malvasia. Results showed that significant differences are present in years of full fertility (higher of 7% cca) and on social benefits advantageous for cultivation form Cordone. It was established that using a cultivation form Cordone less human labour is needed than with cultivation form Istrian Guyot (108 hours), especially in working operations of green pruning (51 hours). Beside the economic importance, this differences are also interesting from the sociological aspect, seeing that savings in labour happen in a period of main tourist season which is usually present deficit of labour.
