ANTIPRURITIC EFFECT OF NATURAL SUPEOXIDE DISMUTASE - SENSORY EVALUATION
The primary objective of the study was evaluation of the antipruritic effect of natural superoxide dismutase in cosmetic product Sodermix® ; cream . The randomized intra-individual study on 15 voluntaries, evaluation of cosmetic product Sodermix crè ; me was done according the Protocol of the Dermscan Group by recording of the thermal sensitivity levels by Cutaneous Thermal Sensitivity analyzer before application, 20 and 90 minutes after application of the product, during April to June, 2008. There were examinees mean age 41± ; 4 years old (between 18 and 66) ; 14 female, one male. Decreasing of the lengths of pruritus 30 minutes after the product application on the treated zone and significant decrease in the pruritus intensity on the treated zone 90 minutes after the product application was proved. The study allowed a physical sensation and to quantify the associate heat with cutaneous thermal sensitivity measurements as a psycho-physical method to evaluate variables of thermal sensations in relation to variables by thermal stimuli. In this study was proven a significant antipruritic examined effect of product.
