ANALYSIS OF SATELLITE COMMUNICATION QUALITY THROUGH USE OF NATIONAL INSTRUMENTS’ LABVIEW
In this paper, through the use of National Instruments’ LabVIEW Modulation Toolkit three different coding types ; the Convolutional, Golay and Reed-Solomon codes were combined with 4-QAM modulation and analysed in a satellite communication channel. The best coding type was used to detect the modulation type, choosing between 4-QAM, MSK and QPSK modulations, that has the best signal performance. After a basic theoretical background the simulation results (BER versus Eb/N0 graphs and coding gains) are given. They show that RS coded QPSK signal performs best.
