Distribution of mosquitoes in some forest communities in Croatia

The similarities of mosquito fauna in four forest communities on the south Pannonian Plain (Central Europe, Croatia) were under observation for period of three summers. Each of the investigated forest communities, provided excellent ecological conditions for mosquitoes, but small differences between them were sufficient to cause discrepancy in abundance and species composition of mosquitoes.
