Numerical model of 2D non-linear time-harmonic eddy-current problem based on FEM
The paper deals with formulation of 2D non-linear time-harmonic eddy-current problem using eight-node quadrilateral isoparametric finite element. Non-linear magnetic conductive material is included. The nonlinear behaviour of magnetic material is modelled by effective reluctivity curve to account the time-dependence of the reluctivity during one cycle of the applied sinusoidal excitation. Interpolation of magnetic curve is done using cubic splines. Solution is obtained using the Newton Raphson method and the direct iteration method.
