Crosstalk and Attenuation Models for xDSL Lines Based on Measured 30 MHz Data
In this paper we present the crosstalk and direct channel transfer functions of the cables designed with VDSL2 systems in mind. Presented transfer function models provide crucial information to telecom operators when maximum achievable bitrate for different cable filling scenarios are calculated. The measurements are made up to 30 MHz and standardized to the length of 100 m, thus providing realistic insight when short loops are used. Further more, we present an in-depth analysis of the crosstalk, with regard to the measured cable geometry, and present cable filling strategies that can be deducted from the presented material.
