Efficiency of lover-dose iodine-131 ablation after near total thyreodectomy in patients with papillary thyroid cancer
Radioiodine ablation of the remaining thyroid tissue after near total thyreodectomy is widely applied in continuation of treatment in patients suffering from papillary thyroid cancer. Lover dose of iodine-131 of 1850 MBq (50 mCi) was used for post-operative ablation in the thyroid remnants in 48 patients with papillary thyroid cancer.
