Insuline, C-peptide and glucagon tolerance in obese females with normal or impaired glucose tolerance
Insuline, C-peptide and glucagon values were determined by oral glucose tolerance test(OGTT) at 0', 30', 60', and 120' in women with the proximal type of obesity. The study included 22 subjects with normal glucose tolerance(NT) and relative body weight(RW) of 155, 4%, 17 subjects with impaired glucose tolerance(IT) and RW of 168, 65%, and 7 controls with normal body mass. Compared to the controls, basal insulin and C-peptide levels were significantly higher in both obese groups.
