Local variation of 14C, 3H and chemical pollutants in the atmosphere

In this paper we present our measurements of 3H activity in precipitation and 14C ctivity in atmospheric CO2, as well as concentrations of chemical pollutants (sulphur and nitrogen compounds) in precipitation and in air at the Grič station (in the city of Zagreb) and at the Puntijarka station on Mt. Medvednica. No significant difference in 3H activity and chemical compounds in precipitation at the two stations is observed. Both lower 14C activity and higher pollutant concentrations in the city of Zagreb reflect the local contamination caused by fossil fuel combustion.
