Croatia is an important tourist destination. Tourism is, for Croatia an important origin of outcome. In total GDP income which made a total of 28, 145 billion EUR, the share of tourism was 6, 200 billion EUR or a percentage of 22, 03%. It is exactly because tourism is such an important part of economy ; it is in interest of everybody that the information about Croatia as a tourist destination are available to potential guests. Different media are used in achieving that aim – starting with conventional speech and conversation amongst friends, through radio, television and press till Internet. Friends, clerks in agencies, on tourist fairs, journalists, pictures, words and multimedia – all of those are means through which tourist destination and hotels represent their services. In the process of informatization, Internet has a greater role. Its advantages are multiple, firstly the speed and availability of information and secondly multimedia and abolition of the language barrier. In order to construct the Web sites properly it is very important to know the consumers of those sites. The construction of profile of consumers of the Internet in tourism is a complex task. This paper has an aim to explore what is the share of the usage of Internet as the source o information compared to other media and to show some qualities of the tourist who have used the Internet as the main source of information and who have spend their vacations in Croatia in July and August in the year 2007. The main hypothesis is to continue a problem of generation and education gap and the Internet does not jeopardize direct communication.
