Early (E)FL Learning and Teaching: Croatian Experiences
The Croatian experiences regarding early foreign language learning and teaching within the project of the same name were presented to teachers from other European countries. A special emphasis was put on English as the most widely-learnt/taught foreign language in Croatia because of the English-speaking environment where the course was held and the authors own experiences with this. The basic aim of this approach to learning implies not just learning FLs but learning in FLs, where FL is used as a means of instruction, another means of communication, providing learners with expanding their background knowledge as well as linguistic knowledge.
