Sažetak
The goal of fault detection and insulation is to decide whether the fault under consideration has occured or not. The fault symptoms (residuals) are generated. The analytical part of the diagnosis is presented here. The insufficient number of measurements represent the main problem. Thus heuristic knowledge has to be included in the FDI model of the steam boiler. Firstly some knowledge about the faults will have to be obtained by application of the FDI model to the real plant. This represents the basis of the knowledge base.
