Biomehanika normalnog hoda
Walking is one of the basic activities of a human. Each person walks in his/her own way. Furthermore, each person has his/her own style of walking that he/she can be recognized by. Walking is a rhythmical leg movement aimed at providing support and thrust for locomotion. According to J. Perry, we have described the walk cycle, phases of walk as well as the basic functions of walking. Using the biomechanical parameters (kinetics and kinematics) a detailed description and analysis of a walk is conducted. Kinematic curves describing the pelvis, hip, knee and ankle movement are presented. Kinetic parameters of walk describe the lower-extremities joint function through different walk phases. The analysis of walk is conducted using the force platform and a kinematic system. During a normal walk an entire body is mobilized, so a dysfunction in any part of the body might reflect itself on the walk function. For a physical therapist it is important to be familiar with the characteristics of a normal walk so any deviation from the normal walk could be noticed. Because of this, a walk analysis is applicable in physical therapy because it is needed in a physiotherapeutic evaluation, when selecting the most appropriate treatment, as well as at the final stage when the physiotherapeutic process is evaluated.
