Comparison of Analytical and Numerical Techniques for the Calculation of Induced ELF and VLF Current Inside Human Body

The simplified model of a human body exposed to the ELF and VLF electromagnetic field is considered in the paper. The body is represented by a thick cylindrical receiving antenna placed vertically on the perfectly conducting ground. The induced axial current is calculated using analytical and numerical techniques. Numerical results are presented for current distribution induced in a man when standing on the ground near a power transmission line.
