Dependence of the Number of Developers and the Number of Errors in Team Software Development
This paper presents the analysis results of the influence of the number of developers on the total number of conflicts during software version merging. Conflicts in code merging can arise when more developers simultaneously and independently make changes of the same part of the programming code, and the goal is to make the number of conflicts as small as possible. The authors’ starting hypothesis is that a larger number of developers in the development team will cause more conflicts. However, the research results show an opposite tendency.
