Prevalence of malocclusion in mixed dentition and treatment needs
The aim was to assess the prevalence of occlusal and spacing malocclusions, and treatment needs in the mixed dentition. Study consisted of 351 children (189 boys and 162 girls) between 7 and 9 years, without previous history of orthodontic therapy. Conclusions: Most of the developing malocclusions identified in this study would be amenable to interceptive orthodontics.
