NUMERICAL SIMULATION OF WIRE DRAWING PROCES

Numeric simulation of wire drawing process has been presented in a work using FLAC computer program package. Using the method of final differences wire drawing process was simulated taking in consideration also friction occurence as well as pressure increase of material plastification itself and occurence of strain concentration at contacting surfaces and working tool itself. For the follow up of the process and verification of theory on plasticity certain values on fixed points of the model have been analysed during simulation. Distribution of maximum stress in working subject and tool show places of maximum stress concentration. at these places maximum concentration of stress is decreased by constructive or technological methods.
