Active Magnetic Bearing in Power Plants - an Application of Environmentally Friendly Technology
Active magnetic bearings represent the new rotor supporting technology with specially interesting characteristics - they don't require lubrication system. Furthermore they maintain contact less operation between rotor and stator lowering in such a manner possibility for abrasion of contact surfaces. Active magnetic bearings thus represent really environmental friendly technology.
