Oxygen and carbon isotope study of the Pb-Zn-Ag hydrothermal-replacement and skarn deposit Trepča, Kosovo
The isotopical composition of recrystallized host limestone corresponds well to the world-wide Phanerozoic marine carbonates. The average delta18O suggests precipitation from the Triassic seawater. Obviously isotopic composition of carbonates was not significantly disturbed by recrystallization. The absence of fluid inclusions within the barren limestone points to recrystallization without involment of neither H2O nor CO2.
