INVESTIGATION AND OPTIMIZATION OF SPECIFIC TECHNOLOGICAL SEWING PARAMETERS IN KNITWEAR MANUFACTURE
Various problems are encountered in the technological process of sewing knitwear. They cause damages to knitted fabrics affecting the quality of a finished product. Using the measuring instrument constructed in collaboration with ITV Denkendorf controlling parameters such as sewing needle penetration force and tension of the sewing thread used for making a specimen of the dyed and softened knitted fabric. Two types of softeners were used depending on the form of the sewing needle point and sewing needle size ; a clearer picture of the amount of the influence of the mentioned parameters on the seam quality is obtained. Due to a neglected, inappropriate and late observed damage the number of knitwear products of problematic quality is enhanced. For this purpose a measuring instrument for testing knitted fabric loops in the joining seam was constructed (patent application P20080038A).
