Pathogenicity of Diaporthe/Phomopsis species for soybean

Isolates of Diaporthe/Phomopsis originated from soybean and Abutilon theophrasti were tested for their pathogenicity to soybean using inoculation by mycelial plugs and toothpick methods. Significant differences in pathogenicity were established among isolates regardless of Diaporthe/Phomopsis species, origin and methods. Positive correlation coefficient was determined among tested methods of inoculation.
