Pleistocene glaciation traces on the north and central part of the Velebit mountain, Outer Dinarides, Croatia
The glaciers developed during the Pleistocene have significantly contributed in the reshaping of the high mountain area by denudation but also by filling the karst depressions and speleological features. New glaciation proofs were recently found out in the underground, in the “ Ledenica u Štirovači” cave, in central part of the Velebit Mountain where clastic sediments of glacial and fluvioglacial origin were found out.
