Investigation of steel corrosion in soil
The corrosion of buried underground structures has been, and continues to be, a serious economic problem. Corrosion of these underground constructions is primarily a result of corrosive factors characteristic of the soil as well as corrosion resistivity of metals. The aim of this investigation is to define the corrosion intensity of steel piles in soil. The results of this examination have done the inside of the soil agressivity as well as corrosion sensibility of different type of steel in different depth of soil. All results obtained are used to furnish indication on corrosion behaviour to be expected for the metals in soil and design possible protection methods.
