Java Applet Development for Distance Learning

Java is described as a revolutionary Internet programming language. In the same way, the distance learning is considered revolutionary in education. This paper describes two modern Java application development tools, and gives an example of an application, which has been developed using one of them. It also demonstrates one of the possibilities of installing the applets into the WWW using Oracle Web Server and suggests further research in the usage of Oracle Video Client software.
