FDI in New Member States of the EU: Economic Implications for Host Economies
The aim of this paper is to analyze the progress of New Member States (NMS) of the EU and Croatia and its effects on foreign direct investment (FDI) inflows in respective countries. The first section presents transition path of respective countries, while the second section relates to the trends in FDI flows in NMS and Croatia after1990s. The following section deals with the influence of FDI on growth of transition economies, while the final section deals with hi-tech exports and relation to GDP growth and FDI inflows.
