Sažetak
Kinesiological education is present in human life from preschool until higher education ; therefore, it is expected to have a dominant influence among the overall population, i.e. the whole society. Such a description imposes a high level of responsibility on this applied discipline. Kinesiological education, as a multi-layered activity depends on social, demographic, economic and, most of all, kinesiological factors, and they are all very important in order to view the current state and project future perspectives. Due to the fact that it is present in a person’ s life since early childhood and throughout education, kinesiological education should have a strong impact on the whole society. Thus, even the slightest tendencies towards changes in the morphological and motor development should be alarming. Contemporary living and working conditions do not allow for anything less than a systematic approach. Long term investment in this field of social interest should manifest itself through the care for material conditions and human resources, assuring minimal and optimal professional requirements. Well organized physical exercise, along with the essential level of motor and theoretical information, ensures better health conditions and an overall positive influence that makes any form of investment worthwhile. Therefore, the answer of contemporary school to the issue of present and future conditions of life lies to a great extent in the way kinesiological education, i.e. physical and health culture, is carried out in school, since this educational area is crucial for the development of children.
