Pomorsko nasljede i 200 godina organizirane hidrografske djelatnosti u Jadranskom moru - E
The maritime heritage of the Republic of Croatia is rich and diverse. [2] The organized hydrographic activity may be regarded as its component. In the Republic of Croatia these activities are performed by the Croatian Hydrographic Institute from Split. Its basic products are the navigational charts and nautical publications. They result from the hydrographic surveys and they form an important factor of the navigation safety on the Adriatic Sea. It should be noted that the year 1806 is regarded as the beginning of the organized hydrographic activity in the Adriatic Sea. The year 2006 marked the 200th anniversary of its organized activities. This has ranked the Republic of Croatia and HHI in the rare countries of the world with such a heritage and tradition.
