Dynamic positioning of floating vessels: the multiobjective control optimization
The objective of a dynamic positioning system is to maintain the position and heading of a floating vessel at reference values, by the use of thrust devices. In conventional dynamic positioning systems classical stochastic linear quadratic optimal control theory (scalar criteria) is used. In this paper the multiobjective control optimization for a dynamic positioning system is outlined. This approach proposes an interactive design methodology.
