Methodology of the environmental impact assessment of the Coastal Sewerage Systems - Jadran Project
The paper presents the overview of applied EIA methodology for ongoing outfall project in Nin-Privlaka, Bol, Dugi Rat, Ploče and Gradac, within the framework of the Adriatic Project (Croatia). Obtained results of numerical 3-D (near-field) and 2-D (far-field) advection and dispersion analysis at different locations have been interpreted in respect to physical and hydrodynamic characteristics of each marine area -representing in reality coastal channels with moderate depths (< 80 m). In addition, the paper gives conclusions about optimum discharge conditions which would minimise environmental disturbances and would result in no bacteriological pollution at the outer edge of protected recreational coastal strips in these relatively narrow aquatic areas.
