Since plants are unable to escape stressful environmental condition they have evolved various and unique molecular mechanisms which proviode them with the capability of efficient adaptation. One of most remarkable are the mechanisms of adaptation to the sudden changes in the light regime. It is belived that phosphorilation and dephosphorilation of key thylakoid components are main events in short-term fine tuning of photosynthesis.
