Optimization of beech bed production process
Beech bed assembly involves a process where double thread nuts are screwed into the bed sides and then the connecting metal angles are fixed to them by metric thread bolts. In the production process, however, a problem was identified, which the present work addresses by optimizing the technological process in order to save production time while at the same time upholding the product quality level. Tests have been conducted to determine optimum bore diameter for screwing down the nuts relative to the extraction strength and time interval needed for nut screwing. This has shortened the time of bed fabrication (nut screwing) and ensured optimum structural strength.
