Parameter space maps of the boost converter
The steady-state responses of the boost converter in discontinuous conduction mode of operation are identified by means of computer simulation. The zones of operation for the boost converter are obtained by using parameter space maps. The three parameters are used in process of creating the parameter space maps: input voltage E, input inductance L and output capacitance Cd. By combining two parameters, three parameter space maps are shown. The period of doubling for all two-parameter bifurcation diagrams are recognised. The simulations results are compared with measurements carried out on physical model of the boost converter.
