Sažetak
The paper addresses static and dynamic testing of the steel railway bridge over the Krapina river at the western entrance to the city of Zagreb. In the year 2004 the downstream main truss girder was hit and therefore severely damaged by the crane’ s stabilizer being transported over the bridge. The bridge features the single supported beam spanning 64, 5 m, 9, 0 m wide and 8, 5 m high. The truss elements are made of steel plates joined by rivets. The structure is made of St-37 steel, the bearings of CS-52 cast steel, and the rivets of St-34. In the bridge rehabilitation the damaged elements were substituted by the new ones, and the rivets were used for joining of plates. Following the rehabilitation, the static and dynamic load testing was conducted to evaluate the work’ s completion and the structure’ s performance for taking over the designed loads. The results of static and dynamic testing were compared with the computational ones obtained on the model by applying the Sofistik package.
