Sexual dimorphism in energy expenditure and time spent in physical activity in urban school children
We explored the sexual difference in energy expenditure and time spent in urban children in Croatia. The sample consisted 91 children: 50 girls and 41 boys aged 11.5+-0.5 years. Body mass index was significantly negative correlated with the time spent in physical activity and average METs.

In the last 25 years decremenet in physical activity has been recognized as a potential risk for obesity and chronic metabolic and cardiovascular diseases.
