Gender issue in the field of ICT technology in higher education

The statistical data on 271 first-year students of Information Systems in the field of Organization and Computer Sciences are presented. The results show that full time students achieved better results. Female students study 1.46 h more then male students per week ; female students are more motivated to fulfill their tasks than male students. Very important variables are secondary school curriculum and pre-knowledge.
